A trip to the East Coast

Tuesday 8.30 - My Birthday!  Flew into Boston Logan, picked up our rental car and started our Journey!!  Stopped in Salem for a little bit then started our drive up the Coast through New Hampshire and into Maine where we stayed all 3 nights.  There was something about Maine that struck my mom and I.  It was so beautiful.

Wednesday 8.31 - We grabbed a Starbucks and off we went to Acadia National Park.  Drove about 2 hours (4.5 total from Boston).  My mom and I had lunch at Jordan Pond House once we arrived at Acadia then wondered around the Park for a few hours visiting different points and peaks it had to offer.  What gorgeous views we saw looking out from Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak in Acadia.

Small ocean views could be seen from different points around Acadia

Thursday 9.1 - We slowly worked our way back from Acadia stopping at all the Lighthouses we could.  We made it to 5 on our trip.  All were beautiful too!  That night we stayed in our new favorite town in Maine called Ogunquit.

Interesting story on how they became shipwrecked

Friday 9.2 - Took our time driving from the southern tip of Maine through New Hampshire and back into Boston while stopping at a few places to enjoy some last minute shopping.  Had lunch at CPK in Cambridge, Massachusetts then headed to the Airport.

What a wonderful trip we had! I was able to take some wonderful photographs, have some down time and share some wonderful memories with my mom.
